Your new puppy will come with a foundation of basic training when they join your family at 8 weeks old. 

 

We do Early Neurological Stimulation Exercises & Early Scent Introduction or ENS with our puppies daily, starting on day three of their lives.  

 

The benefits of ENS are improved cardiovascular performance, stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease. 

 

Early Scent Introduction builds nose awareness and confidence.  This is great for diabetic alert dogs, service dogs, hunting & tracking  prospects, or just a well rounded companion.  

 

Before they leave us, they are exposed to many different noises, smells, and textures.  We acclimate them to nail trims, grooming tools and baths.  This creates confident puppies that will adjust well to their new homes.

We begin the crate & potty training process with our puppies at about 3 weeks of age.  During this time the puppies are beginning to walk and have the natural instinct to leave their bed to use the bathroom.  We provide a litter pan filled with compressed alfalfa pellets, which have a grassy smell, until they go home at 8 weeks old.

 

We have found that by using this method, most of the puppies use the litter pan exclusively by 5 or 6 weeks.  At 6 weeks, we begin taking the puppies outside regularly as Arkansas weather permits. 

 

When you bring your new puppy home, you can choose the potty training method that best suits your family. 

 

We recommend a small puppy play area, with the puppy's crate/bed, a litter pan, a water and food bowl, and a few good toys or chews.
